"Chelsea Supporters respond to Timo Weiner's goal against mainz" with Liverpool's interest on signing the German

11 minutes was all it took Timo Werner just to open the scoring for RB Leipzig away to Mainz this afternoon in the Bundesliga to spark another wave of frenzy among Chelsea fans hoping their club can rival Liverpool to sign the Germany international when the transfer window opens.

An end to his goal drought with his name on the score sheet in the match against Mainz after eight games, Werner produced a low finish to put Julian Nagelsmann's side in front against a Mainz team that they battered 8-0 earlier in the season.

It was his 22nd league goal of the season, with eight assists on top of it as Leipzig try to seal a Champions League place.
With Chelsea in the contest to sign the  German player, Liverpool appear to be the favourites to sign the Bundesliga's leading scorer after Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski, that has not stopped Blues fans from getting excited.
